2025 Outdoor T&F Challenge

Dear Athletes, Officials and helpers,

Thanks for making this year’s Outdoors Inter-Area T&F Challenge a great success. We had a total of 343 competitors competing in age groups from V35-70+ and there seemed to be a very positive atmosphere. I hired a photographer this year named Daniel Williams and he has published pictures from the event with no watermark. He has his own photography page here: https://www.danielwilliams.photos/ and would like it if you could go to his page. He has taken photographs for the EMAC T&F league all summer and has produced some great photographs. These are free for personal use but you would need to contact him if you want to use the pictures for commercial use. Thanks Daniel for agreeing to do this for us. Here is the link to the pictures: https://photos.google.com/share/AF1QipOJby-eMrUb0Sz_KZfbcE4mWKguk0jbO8y1xmgCYg4dQ6-aKVxfvO3XVFjxaU6OIw?key=bnlnVEhNU2dNS3gtR3IxSWtFeU15SDN5NF9ZSXFB

This year we moved it from the East of England to the North of England and NMAC helped me host the competition by helping me find officials, venues and the announcer. They even invited me to a special committee meeting. I wanted to thank them. So, for next summer, which area club would like to help me host it in their area? First on the list is Southwest VAC because they were on my list last year. I’m waiting to hear back from them. Please contact me and I’ll consider all English area clubs. Use this email please: careyemac@gmail.com. There were a few British records set in the M70 100m by Stephen Peters (NMAC) in a time of 12.75s and Helen Godsell W70 in the 100m in a time of 15.05s and 200m in a time of 31.81s. The winners of the Men’s Trophy was NMAC, Women’s Trophy was MMAC and the overall trophy went to NMAC. All results and scores can be seen here: https://bmaf.opentrack.run/en-gb/x/2025/GBR/emaa-inter-area-outdoors/

Thanks again to all of the participants for making this competition go so well. Look forward to the next competition. At the moment, the Indoors T&F Inter-Area Challenge will be held on Saturday, 14th of March at Lee Valley Athletics Stadium in Edmonton, London. I’ll let everyone know if this changes; until then have a good autumn and winter season.

Sincerely,

Carey Hollick, EMAA Track & Field Secretary
